Mike you are absolutely right that Obama has done nothing by bowing to dictators and paling around with thugs, other than embolden our enemies. Iran laughs in our face with the timelines to cease their nuke plans. Russia emboldened, is developing next gen nuke missiles. Venezuela threatens to shoot our planes out of the sky. No one, I mean NO ONE has any respect for Obama and our 'standing' in the world has deteriorated precipitously. At least Bush stood for democracy and people respected him. Obama just wants to meet with the worst dictators on earth and snub our allies (ie sending back gifts from Britain, snubbing Japan on his Asia tour, and on and on). The only thing that terrorists understand is mighty and overwhelming force. Fear and weakness are the only languages they understand and they aren't fearful of Obama's weakness.
Obama begged the Chinese to give us another 'credit card' so he can spend helping his crony Dems get reelected, the Chinese (a communist country last time I checked) laughed and is giving us advice on spending. What took Bush 8 years to spend, Obama more than doubled it in just 10 months! Dow is up because Obama bails out big business on the backs of small business. (Dow=Blue Chips=biggest businesses in US). Smart money is flooding into inflation hedges ie commodities and short term bonds. In short, those with billions in assets are betting on next year being very ugly and they know that this is not a recovery...its another bubble. We may well be headed into a second wave of economic trouble once commercial and the largest group of residential mortgages reset. We've only just begun. My MBA professors pointed out many of these items that have been echoed by many in the business world.
ObamaCare is the biggest payoff to Big Pharma, Big Labor, and AARP in history and trial lawyers are left unaffected and our liberties are thrown in the gutter. They bought off moderate dems with huge sums of money through the 'louisiana purchase' and the 'cornhusker kickback.'
The majority of the U.S. DOES NOT want Obamacare (a -13 average polling via realclearpolitics of all major national polls) but they insist on stuffing it down our throats in the middle of the night (ironic that its criminals usual operating hours).

During week one of classes for my political science degree in college we learned that the party in power has lost seats in congress/senate since Lincoln (except two anomalies). 2010 may well end up in a blood bath for Dems because we got Change all right... Attorney General Holder, under sworn testimony was forced to answer that question and he himself stated that our brave soldiers and CIA officers did not 'torture'. Its a beautiful testimony as Holder gets tied up in knots over his own words saying Waterboarding=torture... we water board our own troops for training... but its not torture when we do it to our troops??? His explanation for that one is even more rich. Your anti-American cohorts did not succeed in 'renaming' interrogation into torture. It is NOT TORTURE for the millionth time. About the Budget and Books... again you bend truth to its outer limits. GOP were horrible spenders AND they lost 2 elections because of it. Being in bed with Big Pharma is Obama's realm all alone so no deflecting there. What we need to lower pharmaceuticals and medical costs in general is to remove the third payer system and allow patients to purchase them directly. Problem now is that Medicare/Medicaid inflate the prices because people on these programs dont pay for the brand name pills themselves and instead let the Govt pick up the tab. Supply and demand are a wonderful thing. Basic econ can solve many of our Health Care problems. Problem is that Obama is doing the dirty with big Corporations. Skepticism is something i walk around with daily, hourly, and every minute. I dont just choose to do it when convenient. I question all of it always. Freedom is precious and we in the US are not guaranteed to always have it. We need to be constantly vigilant about what our government is doing, and these days they are like thieves that plot in the middle of the night while we sleep. I have burned up my congressman and senators phone lines and clogged email boxes and fax machines. They know how I feel. Senators Boxer, Feinstein, and Rep Brad Sherman are all spineless and all work for special interest in California. It is criminal what is going on right now in DC and California. Steve I believe you are well intentioned in your beliefs. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions, intentions are not good enough anymore. Both parties have enabled our Government to usurp powers beyond that which is delegated to them by the US Constitution. Obama is just doing it on steroids.
